Stora Skuggan is an independent perfume studio based in Stockholm, founded in 2015 by a collective of five multidisciplinary creatives. Fragrance, visual identity and object design are developed as parts of the same artistic practice, giving each perfume its own distinct world while preserving a recognisable house language.

Each composition begins with an unusual fascination—drawn from history, mysticism, natural phenomena, pop culture and beyond—and translates it into scent. The story is not simply decoration around the perfume; it provides the conceptual starting point. Extinct plants, forest phantoms and imagined natural phenomena become material for fragrances that feel complete without becoming literal, placing familiar ingredients in unfamiliar contexts and resisting immediate classification.

There is little separation between fragrance, object and image at Stora Skuggan. The sculptural bottles with their oversized orb caps and individually developed visual identities reinforce the idea that each release is simultaneously a wearable composition, an aesthetic object and a conceptual work. The result is a compact, highly distinctive collection in which every fragrance inhabits its own world while remaining unmistakably Stora Skuggan.
