Silphium imagines the scent of the legendary plant once prized across classical antiquity as a spice, medicine and perfume material before being harvested to extinction. Stora Skuggan reconstructed its lost character by researching assumed surviving relatives and using aromachemicals to create a contemporary Silphium accord. Cistus, ginger, geranium, pepper, cinnamon, clove and tobacco build a dry aromatic heat, while frankincense, cedarwood, myrrh and leather give the base resinous depth. The result connects historical speculation with modern perfumery rather than attempting a literal reconstruction of something permanently lost.
