Spiritcask translates an emptied whisky barrel into a dense floral-gourmand Extrait. New-make spirit, cognac and rum absolute meet pear, chamomile, jasmine and ylang-ylang, creating an opening that moves between brightness and fermentation. Malt leads into oakwood extract and whisky lactone, then leather, cocoa, maple, caramel and coffee deepen the cask effect. Guaiacwood, labdanum, cedar and Bourbon vanilla hold the long fade. The result is boozy and sweet, but grounded by timber, leather and roasted bitterness.
