Elegy is Jorum Studio’s contemporary reading of a classical chypre, inspired by the trace of a perfume after its wearer has left the room. Bergamot, lavender and petitgrain create an aromatic citrus lift; heather, rose and jasmine give the floral body both familiarity and Scottish inflection. Orange flower, geranium and ambrette soften the transition into benzoin, cedar, patchouli, hay, oakmoss and labdanum. Aldehydic diffusion and powdery textures keep the composition suspended between brightness and melancholy.
